We were thrilled to be chosen to receive a tree from the #queensgreencanopy #treeoftrees a UK-wide planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee. The tree has been awarded to us in recognition of our contribution to the local community and the work we do with women and girls. Last week we were delighted to welcome the Lord Lieutenant of Tyne & Wear, Lucy Winskell OBE, to plant the hazel tree in our community garden in Elswick Park.
