You can sponsor an animal for yourself or as a thoughtful gift! Each animal has its own special, funny personality and your sponsorship helps cover essential costs such as feed, bedding, and vet bills.

Lovely Linda She is a Hill Radnor a native Welsh sheep breed. She came to Fallowlees Farm as a pet lamb the same time as Monty and they are thick as thieves. Linda is 3 years old and had her first lamb in 2025 (Lucky). Linda is small and quiet, she is so soft and gentle…and absolutely brilliant with children.
Barbara Our best milker of all! She’s absolutely gorgeous, she’s got a golden coat and ears that flop down. A British Guernsey breed of goat, she’s incredibly easy going and an absolute dream to work on with! The other goats could learn some manners from her… she is Belinda’s half sister and her daughter is Pickle.
Bruno The only male goat born at Fallowlees in 2025! A pure Golden Guernsey, he has a very deep red coat and is very distinctive in looks. He’s always the first one to come over and is incredibly friendly, handsome and charming.
Monty! Our Hebridean x Jacob wether (castrated male). He came to the farm as a pet lamb… He truly is the biggest character amongst our flock he’s more like a dog than sheep! He has 4 horns growing in all different directions 😂 which can really catch you off guard! You’ll often find Monty hanging round with his best mate Linda. He loves nothing better than skipping and jumping round the fields just generally loving life! We love you Mont you brighten every day.
April is very shy and sticks with her twin sister May. She was born on the 11th April. She is very reserved until she gets to know you but her confidence grows everyday. She has a very small white spot on her side.
Martha – a Hexham Blackfaced ewe but she’s definitely got some Swaledale breeding in her too. She has a face of thunder….always on high alert definitely not a people person 😂 she always assumes you want to catch her or move her . Not very fun when It comes to doing general animal husbandry jobs… but it keeps you fit! She bred a fantastic wether lamb this year which sold to a local farmer. Please note Martha is a bit wild and won’t come close to humans!
Lucky! Also known as ‘Lucky to be alive’ is Linda’s first lamb, she was born as a huge single on a red hot spring day. She’s built like a barrel and just like her mother is very easy going. Linda and Lucky have a very strong mother daughter bond. They’re inseparable.
Belinda aka Houdini. Half-sister to Barbara, she can climb over any fence, any wall, you name it she can do it! She’s a wild card but always makes us laugh. She’s been a fantastic mother… I wonder if her kid Paula will be as mischievous!?
Britney Shears is a 4 year old ewe (Hexham Blackface) and has one missing tooth. She’s absolutely huge for her breed but a lovely nature. And why is she called Britney Shears I hear you ask?! Well she had a Caesarean section at lambing time and when this procedure is carried out the vet shears a section on her wool. Please note Britney is a bit wild and won’t come close to humans!
Marvellous Mary, she’s one of a kind. A beautiful Golden Guernsey, Mary loves getting her head stuck in a fence and never learns… the grass is always greener on the other side! Mary is so beautiful and gentle, her coat is the most striking colour. Mother to twin girls born at Fallowlees in 2025 – April and May.
Shrek – a Mule ewe lamb (Born April 2025), hand reared at Fallowlees! She’s a few days older than the other pet lambs and has always been the boss, the chief trougher and the biggest! You cannot knock her back… she brings bags of energy and loads confidence. Shrek would do anything for some feed. The leader of the pack – she’s very nosey and always sounds the alarm if someone walks past in hope to get some extra snacks.
Lil Rusty is a power house, compact but a very strong young ewe. She’s so quiet and lovely natured. Unfortunately, she started lambing prematurely in 2025 and the lamb didn’t make it. Sometimes this can happen and wasn’t anything to be concerned about. There’s always next year! She’s fit and healthy and had a lovely summer! Please note Rusty is a bit wild and won’t come close to humans!
Paula was born at Fallowlees on 10 April 2025 and she looked like a highland cow – her hair was so long and curly. Paula is named in honour of a very special woman. She is sweet-natured, gentle, loves a cuddle and is full of affection. She likes nothing more than to rest her chin on you.
Babloo – another pet lamb hand reared at Fallowlees from a few days old. Babloo has bags of confidence the ring leader along with Shrek. She charges past and can’t bear the thought of missing out. She is the only mule with white ears and she was given her name by the Women’s group from our local mosque.
Pickle is a dream! But she’s learned from the best (her mother Barbara). She’s the biggest of the female kids by a long way and she loves her food. She’s calm, gentle, easy going and has a lighter coat like her mother. We hope to milk her in the future!
Oreo was one of 4 (a quad) and came to Fallowlees as a pet lamb, she’s so lovely – little but determined. You have to be when you knock round with Shrek and Babloo. Oreo has a distinctive brown/black splodge on her neck. She loves spending time with her little pet lamb gang especially Dorothy – they’re on the same wave length!
Gertrude is built like a barrel she’s very strong with wide horns. She has lovely markings on her face too. Gertrude has quietened down a lot since arriving with her mates. We’re looking forward to seeing how she gets on at lambing time this year. Please note Gertrude is a bit wild and won’t come close to humans!
Betsy is a fantastic looking ewe and a great example of her breed (Hexham Blackface). We had high hopes for her at lambing time 2025 to see if her style and flashy leg colour was passed onto her lambs! Betsy didn’t disappoint, TWINS!! One ewe lamb – Betty – and one tup lamb who we sold for breeding. Please note Betsy is a bit wild and won’t come close to humans!
Dorothy! A traditional Swaledale Ewe lamb (a horned breed) who came to us as a pet in April 2025. Her mother didn’t have enough milk to rear her, so we brought her up on the bottle. She’s fine boned with a long tail and quite shy. Dorothy is lovely and gentle but still loves a cuddle and a scratch. She’s Lindsey from the Farm’s favourite pet of all – also named after her Granny which I’m sure her granny would be delighted about 😂.
Spongebob She always looks sleepy, she has fine white hairs up her face which is quite distinctive and is the youngest of the Blackfaced Ewes. She likes to spend her time with Lil Rusty who is actually her cousin they are often found sitting together chewing their cud and having a catch up.
May absolutely loves to lie in the sun and soak up the rays! She’s a shy girl and uses her twin sister April as her comfort blanket which is lovely! She has very fine white stripes down her back.
